​What’s Included In Your Membership?
 

Scout membership is charged in two categories, State fees and Wattle Grove Group fees.  You will be charged each of these fees independantly.  You generally get them via email, Treasurer Mel Lucas or Group Leader Belinda Howell can help sort out any payment queries or concerns.

State fees are $250 annually (the Active kids rebate/s may be claimed against this). If both are redeemed you may reduce out of pocket state fees to $50.  Wattle Grove Group fees are $120 annually.

Joining fees include a State fee of $55 and a Wattle Grove Group fee of $40 which covers the scarf badges and a brand new Scout shirt will be between $37 and $47 depending upon sizing. However it’s worth asking if the group has any second hand that may be the right section and size?

If in need we can connect you with a state family relief fund to keep the youth Scouting during times of adversity for any reason. This can be engaged to assist with all areas of Scouting.

Some activities, such as camps, will incur additional costs such as transport, food or entry fees but these are charged as they occur and these activities are optional.

Membership fees only cover approximately 25% of the total costs of running the group, additional funds are generated through fund raising events, involving families of members and the broader community. To undertake these activities, we rely on family support at various times throughout the year, and each family is encouraged to assist at a group fundraising activities at least once a year.

We aim to keep costs to families as low as possible, so you’ll probably be surprised at the value Scouts offers!
